Keep It Grounded in Fact is a project of the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers. AFPM members are the proud providers of over 3 million jobs, affordable energy, and the petrochemicals that undergird everyday life.

And, despite what some activists have asserted, we care about the climate too. We're mothers and fathers, uncles and aunts, and just plain old concerned citizens. We want to leave the world a better place for the next generation, just like everyone else.

Which is why we have to oppose unrealistic, zero-tolerance "Keep It in the Ground" proposals that would irreparably harm the health, safety, and economic well-being of our loved ones. Energy policies must acknowledge current realities and balance important environmental considerations with other important considerations--such as the ability of low-income families to heat their homes; the ability of Americans to secure jobs; and the current infeasibility of replacing the petrochemicals that go into everything from vaccines to airbags to cell phones.

So we've created the Keep It Grounded in Fact website as a place for fact-based, reasonable discussions about energy.
